Gents,

I need some help. I am have installed the engine harness and extended the wiring for the altenator.

The alternator wiring comprised of 1. the positve feed for charging 2.the round black plug and 3. there is a small plug with one black wire(white tracer) aswell.

I have plugged all except for No.3. I can't find where it was plugged in, i need some photos or someone to check their car please.

I thought that it may have been for the starter motor but it had its own part of the harness with only the main feed.

Dan, the lead to the terminal on the alternator has two leads as it makes a complet circuit that is passed back through a large fuse (fusible link essentially) inside the fuse box. In addition you should have the plug that goes in the back of the alternator. Is this any clearer? I can take a few photos as mine is out of the car at the moment...???

Cheers

M

I think i figured it out, it plugs into the starter so that is where i have connected it.

Can someone check their starter please.

I just checked my loom and i think you are right. I have a fat black wire with a white trace that came off the starter. Hope this helps.
