Does the white stop inside the channel on top of the roof or does it stop under the lip of the channel?

Basically - where do i put the masking tape to mask off the rest of the car?

Originally the white was on the top side only , so the top of the gutters and roof were white , the outside edge and underside of the gutter was body colour . Hope that hasn't confused things further ...

Usually the inside of the gutter (the wet bit ) is the colour of the roof and the outside is the body colour. If you were to fit a cover strip around the gutters edge (like the bottom seam under the doors and over the arches) it would separate the colors

My '66 has a white roof and the slit line is the top edge of the gutter, so white right up to the top on the inside.
