You chopped the child restraint mounts out to fit speakers (and making the car unroadworthy) 8)

I reckon it would have looked sweet with only a black roof but i reckon it looks better than it did before

Take some pics of it in day light for us tomorrow! You were definetly brave!

<edit pic change >

yeah i thought about stopping there, but i really disliked the colour, and it was fading anyway.

i've been sick this weekend, worked 12 hours on sunday and woke up this morning and i was thinking what should i do..

so i started at noon, took the stickers off, washed it, removed the sticker gunk, sanded and painted, removed the front bumper and underriders which took ages :( and just kept going after the sun went down..
i'm really tired now, but im very happy 8)
i love minis :wink:

That rear parcel shelf is a structural panel though - suposed to be unwise cutting big oval holes in it.

In NZ at least, you can fit speakers to the parcel shelf, but not leave the holes empty - which I think is weird as it implies the speakers perform some kind of crumple zone or protection in a crash. Or you can weld strengthening straps of steel around the holes.
