Is this to be a wally and to show off or does it give you extra HP as that would make sense, I believe it's around 5 hp per sticker....

Maybe people call you a wally for having the union jack on your roof?

It's their style.
Let them be

That's like saying, I got gloss paint, oh I must be wally, not that matt black stuff. Or even, whoa I got a rover and don't have oil leaks, therefore im a wally...haha just joking but yeah ur right, kinda.... but I believe it is wally to have stickers that show off what brands you've bought. Trust me, I know a few blokes at my school, one reckon his car now goes faster as it has HKS air filter, I said it'll go faster without filter, he disagreed, as HKS is better than none.....

Cos I can is the main reason. Not my missus descicion, I don't have a 'missus', teas my dad's idea, I was gonna have it white, but yeah, didn't happen that way...... Yeah I know about it being an aussie mini, and not british but an aussie flag doesn't look right, Almost did a eureka stockage flag, but thought that wouldn't look as cool.....

Trust/HKS/Greddy/ stickers = RICE. Especially when u see Huge TRUST stickers across the backwindscreen of stock standard 90 model magnas......Or even better Crappadores. Yes these particular cars exist in Cairns!!!
I feel like gettin out of my car when stopped at lights, tapping on the window, having the dude wind his window down and seriously put the question to him " Where exactly on this car does it have a TRUST component?"

Everyone knows that only genuine STP stickers provide extra horsepower.. and that the power gain is directly proportional to the size of the sticker.

Curiously they seemed to be most popular with the VW crowd. Maybe they needed the assistance the most :) They also liked Moon stickers - which also seems approriate....

Cheers, Ian

There are those 'rainbow' (not sure what to call them) stickers that cover you rear window, that shine many colours from different angles, and different lights. These don't add horsepower, they add downforce, and reduce wind resistance, they also, interestingly, cost you money to buy...

Your friend is correct. In issue 104 of zoom Magazine they dynoed about 10 different air filters and found that some gave a boost of 4 kw. This isnt much but 4kw for $40 is pretty sweet. Coincidentally the cheapest filter gave the best result

They ran a jap car ( mirage i think it was) that was turboed and a bit worked without any filter as a base and then ran it with the filters. They tried to keep everything identical including temp and other variables. quite an interesting read.

The reason I bought the mag was borgy's tiger mini was in it

I wonder if they tried testing a set of Ram Tubes with no air filter??? Its all about flow dynamics.

True. Just saying that, by jsut buying a HKS model, with 2 dollar sticker, isn't a great idea, considering it wasn't 40 bucks try about 140. I reckon ram tubes would be the way to go. Obviously as to save money, bolt on items are best but this jap tech stuff is way too expensive. It's all about brand name, and only 50% about performance. I bought ram-floes for my car as they look cool. I don't care if they increase power (they won't) and they may even reduce power.

the filter with best performance was the standard drift urethane pod filter and the retail value is $35.95. It was the cheapest one with the most increase. Not making this up
THey had the pipercross thingy and it looks great. All bling and shiny. It cost $399. It gave an increase of a whopping .10 of a kilowatt (yes that is point one zero) and another one was over 600 and gave .2. Can you imagine how grumpy you would be if you had just fitted one of these in?

I think the best thing to do would be just to remove the air filter and calmly poor a handfull of rocks in the inlet...... Wrap the K&N sticker around ur head, jump on a penny farthing and do some down hilling on it.....

Penny!
