Don't know if they are AVAILABLE as such...

But i have an ALFA 33 radiator in my Mini that was put there by the previous owner. A good setup with a small thermo fan on the left hand side.

Would post some pics for you but my car is at the mechanics this weekend getting a tune-up.

i thought about the radiator that in my g/f car, 92 pulsar, thing with this radiator is that its alot wider, abit taller but a hell of alot thinner, about 25mm at the widest, and that was cooling a 1500

You're not thinking about an oil cooler are you Adam?
I wouldn't imagine there would be much room in front of the dizzy etc for a radiator.

it looked small enough to go on the left but then ther is the prob with altinator, there is also a tractor at work with a very similar radiator to a mini, top is nearly the same but i dont know about the bottom hose area, good thing is its alot thicker than the mini rad,

it just struck me on the back off the head just then but you could have 2 intercoolers, 1 for oil and 1for water, the water one would need some sort of fan small enough

just mount your standard rad at the front, the ones ive seen for road cars are all that. there would be easily enough room in the front of a clubbie for it, then just put a small thermo fan on the from or something..

Someone here dummied it up for some pictures with a 323/laser radiator across the front and it looked possible , bit of interesting plumming needed though .

its doable even in a roundie, we were playing around with ideas for my race car... ford laser ones would fit, most small jap ones fit, its just a question of efficiency over say a good four core with a good fan

mini cooling is better with a sidemount, frontmounts dont work so well, but both would be ideal.

heres one and they make a few others, from the uk tho but i wonder if they would make muck difference

later uk cars had front mount std, but hey have no dizzy and the alternatorwas moved upards-back to make it all fit, then the plumming was well, interesting....
if you could get one with a remote filler tank, and both top/bottom hoses on the lh side, or at least both at that end, you may be ok. there are issues with having the filler lowe than any point of the engine, as you cannot get enough water in to fill the system.

if you have an elec fan on your sidemount and its getting hot, just chuch a heater matrix behing the grille, itll help cool down at high speed where the elec fan cant keep up.

Prime reason for the late UK ones having the rad moved to front was to help pass the drive-by noise test.
Be aware that a front mounting will increae the air temp under the bonnet, so the carb is sucking hotter air = maybe less power.
In a `normal' Mini, cool air gets rammed in the front....

hey guys i just got called into work, while i was there i took a look at the tractor with the radiator and im pleased to say it will fit, you would need different brackets, and a elec fan but it will fit, it has alot more cooling surface by the looks of it,
