While we're on the subject of bootlids are the English style 850 bootlids number plate mounting flap meant to swing like the later aussie style bootlid?

The 850 takes skill to be driven in modern traffic and can perform very lively indeed if driven well.

Coming in late on this one but I have owned 2 x 63 850s and loved them. Sure the brakes were a bit iffy at times and I couldnt blow off ricers at the lights but boy could I waste them in the corners.

Viva la 850.

Could someone please post a pic of an original 850 bootlid with the english length number plate carrier showing the swinging mechanism as I seem to be missing a few bits then and will need to source them.
