Cars started drove down the road bout 1km and conked out :S.... hd to get fuel.. then the battery went.. had to get the better battery... got it to brickworcks eventually... had a slight tune and timing done.. now its hungy dorey :) ...its got an oil leak (rocker cover) which im fixing shortly... then in te near future getting a new carby and exhaust leak fixed... but in the meantime im going to drive it give it a wash :)

I dont know where that firing order came from - its wrong for a mini - the firing order all the way through this thread has been 1-3-4-2.

people standing the background don't understand what a mammoth job our friend of the Devil 666 has done.

He took on changing an engine in less than ideal conditions. He struggled with many beginner mechanical issues and he struggled through high detail things like timing and basic tuning.
The bloody car started in the end and he drove to a mechanics for a fine tune.

Its a mammoth effort of determination and those of us who understand mini mechanics forget what its like to batter your head against a telegraph pole because that pain is less than the pain of frustration.

Those of us who havn't been there yet just dont know how much much frustration 666 has experienced and he plugged on - fantastic mate and full appreciation from all of us on Ausmini. You cracked a biggy.

yeah clutch pipe is leaking...
rocker gasket is still leaking a tad i think..
something is wrong with the carby...(needle or something) = crap take off
front suspension needs doing id say...
needs a wheel cap
stereo wiring needs tiding up.

that will keep me busy :) ... new pics 2moro...
