This looks pretty good, think I'll order myself a copy come May 1st!

http://www.minifilms.co.uk/

For those wondering, this video contains test drives in lots of different minis, Mini Miglia driver Bill Sollis. some of the Minis include a 225 BHP turbo A-series, 165 BHP Vtec Mini, Miglia Race Mini, and a couple of motorbike engined minis (including a 400BHP Hayabusa!)

Does anyone else know of any other good mini dvds? I already have "Story of the Mini" and "Mini" by duke.

I have both on CD. I think they are AVI files, to watch on my computer, or TV when I hook my laptop up to the TV

www.pitstop.net.au will have the original Italian Job (region 4) in May. They have region 2 (UK) now if anybody wants it.

No word yet on the double boxed set..

might be a silly question but what does
"region 4", and "region 2" mean?

You can get both on DVD in a version that plays here in Aus on Ebay quite cheaply.

The film industry divided the world map up into regions to `stop' us (for example) buying DVDs from the US and elsewhere, cheaper. The original DVD players would only play the discs from their own region.

US is region 1 (I think), UK/Europe region 2, Australia region 4.

It all turned to crap when Pioneer and others started building DVD players that were `multi region'. ie they will play nearly anything. Many new ones are like this but not all. 8)

I got it for christmas, i think it was ordered from amazon.com

Id go region 2/4 if possible, as they will be PAL. Region 1 is NTSC and mightent work on older setups.

Just an update on this OLD topic......

Yesterday (Thursday August 26) I emailed Andrew @ Pitstop Bookshop about the "Ultimate Mini Performance" dvd. His reply to me was:

"I'm awaiting an answer from the people in the UK about it. I sent them an enquiry last week and they said they would get back to me...

I guess it will be a couple of weeks at least before we see it
"

Hopefully they can get it...... i dont know of anywhere else that actually has it......
