hehe - officially Mini K was "Morris Mini Deluxe Mark 2 K", the 1100 badge must've been a marketing thing... but deluxes as we all know them were '64 to about April '69

They made 'em until the Leyland Clubman 1100 started in 1971. Same motor and box was used in Clubbie. Hydro too.. :P 8)

K was officially launched in march 69, and as sskgn rightly pointed out, it was a deluxe mark 2.

I've only ever seen one reference to the K as a Deluxe MkII - in the book Spotlight on Mini Minor Downunder. Certainly the Mini K sales brochure does not refer to DELUXE at all.

Note that even if a K was officially a Deluxe MkII, they do not have "MORRIS MINI DELUXE" on the back. They have "MORRIS MINI 1100" instead. :)

EDIT: I thought K's were still being made briefly after the clubman was built. Last Ks were made in early 72, although I have seen one with 73 compliance! Maybe they sat around for a year before compliance plates were attached.
