According to my list that engine number corresponds to a "Mini Clubman Saloon" - sorry but that's as best as my list does.
The engine number prefix on the early Leyland Minis is a bit of a nightmare, they gave an code to each different car and then any changes to engine spec give it a new number.
This list may not be accurate but it is a start, it is the result of a number of books.
= Mini 1100 (Clubman base model) / Mini Van. High comp, direct gearchange.
= Mini Clubman. High comp, remote gearchange.
= ? (Possibly replacement engines) (has no gearbox) High comp.
= Mini 1100 / Mini Van. low comp, direct gearchange.
= Mini Clubman. low comp, remote gearchange.
= ? (Possibly replacement engines) (has no gearbox) Low comp.
= Moke.
= Mini Clubman (may now be called a Mini S) / Mini Van.
= Moke.
= Mini S/ Mini Sedan (Leyland decided to cut down on the number of prefixes so all Minis and Mokes got the new code)
= Clubman GT. Twin carb, Close ratio, remote change, high comp, electric fuel pump.
= ? (Possibly replacement engines) High comp, no gearbox.
= ? (Possibly replacement engines) High comp, no gearbox.
= ? Single carb, standard ratio, direct gearchange, high compression, pollution gear.
= Moke (probably the first Californian)
