I actually have the sam problem on the drivers side wheel. The tyre rubs on the corner of the guard. I run a dry setup with 12inch rims, i have a feeling it has all got to do with the geometry of the wheels ie tie bars and adjustable bottom arms.

I run 10" wheels on hydro with 165/70R10's and with flares and never have any problems - I'd say its a deeper issue than the tyre profile.

You said in a post that your car was hydro.... and then in another post you said it WAS hydro but had been fitted with springs and shocks when the hydro crap itself.

SO are you saying that the suspension is now rubber cone type fitted to hydro subframes?? Maybe the front trumpets have been shortened, or are possibly hi-lo types set too low??

The greater offset wont help the situation, jacking the front up a bit should cure it without hacking the body.

OK , now it's making sense , does there look to be any accident damage at the front anywhere (could anything be bent in the suspension?) or is it likely to be suspension oriented do you think ? As for one side being lower , take the wheel off and wind it up a little , the front works on a 1 in 4 or so ratio , if you wind it up 1mm it will lift the mini 4mm (keep forgetting the ratio but it's somewhere there , just don't wind it up 20mm expecting it to lift 20mm , you'll end up 80mm or more higher ....) or so .

ah ok nh theres not accident damage its gotta be a wheel alignment or suspension problem for sure, how hard is it to wind it up

Front ratio is 1:3, rear is 1:5.

The hi-lo should be an alloy trumpet with a thing that looks like a large bolt threaded into it, locked into place with a large nut against the alloy trumpet. Winding the bolt out of the alloy trumpet will raise the car.

When you wind it out, measure the length from the threaded face of the alloy trumpet to the top of the bolt...... and make the one on the other side the same distance. Assuming all your suspension parts are in good condition, it should make your car level.
