Is it possible to swap a hydro mini body, without letting the hydro bags down at all.. Basically lift the body off the subframes and drop a new one straight on? I'm just trying to think of the easiest way to do this.. Other than unbolting the subframes, exhaust electrics, master cylinders, steering column/rack, handbrake cables, what else would need to come off?

In theory yes but in practice I doubt it.
You would need 6 pairs of hands and would probably kink the pipes.
It's hard enough getting subframes out one at a time...
Just let fluid out, swap it all over and I'll come pump it up.

nope not possible, the hydro bags at the front loop thru the firewall crossmember. you have to disconect them.

The easiest way is to take it to a mini specialist with a hydro pump and pay them to do the work

I had to get the hydro pumped after removing the front subframe once, I put wooden blocks around the car and drove it about 5 kms to 'Mini' in Ctown for the pump up. It was the scariest thing I have ever done and would never do it again.

Get a tilt tray, it's cheap as if you book a tow (as opposed to need from crash etc) or hire a trailer from another ausmini'er if you can. This is for the hydro re-pressurise, as for the work DIY or pay someone.

Every time it needs a pump up, you just saved yourself around 50 bux.

I made mine from a Mini clutch MC, 2x Mini front brake hoses, an upturned Fiat 124 pedal box, a bit of brake pipe, and a brass valve fitting I made by soldering a brass valve cap into a 1/8 BSP fitting. Seal is the rubber ring found inside said brass valve cap.
