Who said anything about rice?
How is what you have done to your car not rice?
If I put a bonnet scoop on a Mustang is that rice?
If I put a flare kit on a Torana is that rice?
If I put a turbo on a Mini is that rice?
Is that different to putting a turbo on a big block Chev?

What about a body kit on a Lancer EVO? Rice?
Turbo on a Suzuki Swift? Rice?
Suzuki Swift motor in a Mini?
Gen 4 LS2 in a 36 ford coupe?

What are you trying to say?

If I hand made some flutes and put them in my guards, and it was done tastefully, would that be rice? or would it be a neat custom job?

If you didn't like it, move on, go find something you do.

I don't believe you can rice a mini. Not without putting in a lot of effort fitting kits, modernizing it with lights etc... you would have to have neons, modern turbo dohc motor, airbrushed paint...

I think I could appreciate that...

So your obviously a fan of non-functional add on crap then? As stated earlier a Bonnet scoop will serve no purpose on a Mini, a reverse style one would do a good job at letting out under bonnet heat and also letting anything else out, oil included. Its an area of LOW PRESSURE.

Minis get hardly any respect on the roads as it is, now some one wants to stick a bloody bonnet scoop on one. It ruins the appearance of the car.

A mini is a classic 60's-70's car, it dosnt need to try and keep up with the chingks in there stock honda's with non-functional add on crap.

And yes i have a monster tachometer, it comes in handy at reading engine revoloutions per minute, i can also set my idle speed with it as well. As the car didnt come from the factory with a tachometer, i think it serves a purpose. And yes ive been in Hot 4's, are you jealous? It once was a good mag b4 the invention of rice.

I dont mind funtional performace upgrades provided they are done tastefully and to the right type of vehicle

Oh and you really think im going to care if u start being mean to me?

boys boys,

i think you need to rewrite the deffinition of "rice", rice is add on crap weather its fuctional or not, it was bought and placed on the car just for looks over performance,

then you have the other sort of rice, the absolutly no performance add on. milo tin exhaust, nos stickers and spoilers, no one really likes this stuff except red p platers that have inherrited mummys excel and hang around maccas, no one like it so it should be called BOC CHOI, (green stuff in noodle dishes that everyone leaves behind. :D

Joe - you're a tool. 'nuff said.

For the guy with the forester scoop... it's not bad but would be much better facing the other way. That way it'd still be a subtle scoop and also be functional at the same time.

All things being relative, does anyone remember when the VL commodores came out they had that tiny little upswept bit on the back of the boot?
I remember that standing out like dogs nuts and being amazed at this factory added "spoiler".

Now if it isn't 2 feet above the roof, it's not big enough.

if u run a scoop forwards ull end up with a different rate of forced induction at different speeds im no expert but wouldnt that be impossible to then tune to run at all speeds
