I think most people are at the Dyno day or enjoying the weather somewhere.

I did hear that the minimum for both discs was 8mm - or was it 6mm. However, provided the discs are not paper thin they seem to work well way past the bottom width. The main reasons for minimum width is heat dissapation, warping and cracking.

I think its 8mm

it's 8.5mm guys.... don't go under it, there are lots of reasons.... "they" tell stories of pistons sticking at an angle and one wheel locking and flipping cars over and all sorts of crazy crap...

Hey Simon,

are you getting the weather - apart from a couple of drizzles, we had 35mm in February and 27mm a weeks or so back.

Warm sunny days and cool to cold nights, of course, the fire is alight at night - had a frost last night. I have not had a jumper at all this year. Yesterday was strange, I saw about five dead snakes on the roads - all of them soaking up the last of the summer warmth on the tarmac before they hibernate.

The radar shows apparent streams of rain moving past you over the last month.

Minimum for Cooper 997 & 998 7" discs (were 0.250" or 6.35mm thick when new) is 5.5mm I think.
