There's a classified in yesterdays paper for a mini , this is it in it's entirety ,

MINI-COOPER, rebuilt, history record, 12 months rego, QNN***, exc cond, poa
6653****

Is it just me or does that ad seem to be lacking a lot , I'd like to see a date at least and an engine size , just some details to see that it could be a cooper or S rather than another person who thinks every mini is a cooper .

If anyone wants the number to look into it PM me and I'll forward it on and I can have a look at it if required .

Well for starters is it Morris , Rover or BMW .... Any of them could be "rebuilt" , the first BMW Mini cooper's would be 6 or so years old now and could have been rebuilt .

If you wanted a Mini, you'd call them.
Thats why they left their telephone number :P

i voted that it DOESNT help to sell the ad.
however i dont see a problem with that.. because you could be on the potential of a gold mine of a car here..........and yet no one knows about it :D

no harm with just a phonecall to get some details

Curiosity got the better of me so I rang in the end .... $6,990 ,spent $15K on it , new stainless steel floor (???) , 1250 motor ("NO , IT'S NOT 1275 , I said 1250 "....), new drum brakes , previous owner put a right hand tank in , claims it's a cooper because it says so on the boot but wouldn't give the car type number from the ID plate ....

If it was a genuine cooper, you would expect to pay more than that. Thats my reason for assuming it is a rebadged deluxe.

The ad company probably charges per word for the ad....

Everybody should know by now that a mini is just a mini until you can prove it is a cooper.

Any monkey could tell the difference between a Deluxe and a Cooper from 100m away.

Yes, but some monkeys will swear black and blue that:

...even when you can show them the facts
