My wife has never heard of what a weber sounds like on a mini (or any other car for that matter), does anyone know of a place where a could download a sound file of a weber on a mini, or smaller car?? or perhaps if you guys have "recorded" your own mini engine running/starting up and have put it on the net.

Not heaps importent but i like to keep her interested because she looks after the bills. hehehehehe

Cheers guys

Try this:

It also gives you an idea how noisy a straight cut gearbox is.

Please also let your Lady know that with a webber in the Mini you will have to talk LOUDER to eachother, to overcome the "Lovely sound". It will annoy you after a while. And it is always the sound that one tends to drive by not the speedo or the speed limit any more !! So watch out. They do sound great.

If you want to hear a nice pair of Weber 45DCOEs try this:

It's a 1968 Fiat 124 AC Coupe with a 1600 twin cam.

Yes, I thought you might like that video sequence, Doc.
That 1608 isn't a powerhouse by any means. something around 130 bhp at the flywheel is about all, but it thrives on revs! It was built with reliability as a first priority as it has to cope with the rigors of Targa Tas and such. It's no use driving a 'hand grenade' no matter how powerful, in an event that stretches out over many days.
