That won't help if the tumblers and springs are worn. I'd get a new key & tumblers, it fixed my old shitty switch good and proper.

5 mins to fit.

yep I will do that ultimately, but just to be stubborn I wont to bodge it somehow. So the tape is workng fantastically. Its defenitely the the key and the tumblers as the key works just as well upside down :lol:
