Hey this is our 850 and im pretty sure these aren't the original seats that would have came with the car. Can anyone tell me what ones it did come with? The side panels are black and white stripes on vinyl as seen in last pic

MK1 seats but look like they have been reupholstered at some stage - unless early delux or something had a bifferent stitching pattern (?)

your seats are supposed to be the same material as what your car has on its side panels. it is that finely stiped pattern. that material is very hard to find and is not available in reproduction either. yours looks like it is the red version of this pattern. it also came in blue and i think maybe green. my car has the same as yours

The seats look like early Clubman, the ones before the headrests.

the fabric on the side panels looks original. is it a jagged stripe through top to bottom or a fleck pattern? Agree with wombat about the seats.

Sorry to say it but I agree with everyone else , they aren't the original seats , the originals were the same shape but were rivetted onto the brackets on the cross member and the same or similar pattern to the door cards . Mini king in Narellan , Sydney had some seat covers (not much though) in similar pattern when I was there several months ago but I told cush about them so they may not be there still , worth a try though . The original 850 seat material is rapidl approaching hens teeth qualities but not impossible , put an add in the wanted section and bug all the mini specialists mentioned in the how to section . I found some of the original trim for the sports850 so it's not impossible .

Oh yeah , the seats you have are early clubman and it's likely someone's looking for them for a resto so it might be worth offering them for whatever you think (rememebering that you're helping someone in our mini community) in the for sale section .

I urge anyone that has 850 seats in the fancy vynils (lizard skin or the fleck pattern) and not using them for an 850 rebuild to post them here or in the for sale section as there are a lot of us looking for them .
