well this will kinda be lengthy.....
ok well Jester has been out of action for a little while, after the Roadcraft driving day when the Generator decided to give up the ghost on the way home.
so ive been saving up and i bought an 85AMP altenator and got it fitted on monday. took the car out for a drive and was running SHMICKO!
thought ok i should be right to take the car to work (tuesday night)........how wrong i was..
the drive to my work was fine...the ride home was...well short to say the least. got in the car (930pm) and started it up, switched the lights on for no more then about 2 seconds, before the lights cut out, and PLUMES of smoke came from the dash in front of me, and out the 'demister vents'....
i just immdietly switched off the car and called for a ride home..
later on....(roughly 11pm)
got the car in my convoy and towed it home.
today i went to work in my tow vehicle

and when i arrived home i preceded to try to see what went on behind my dash. the pics should explain a bit now...

OH I FORGOT TO MENTION.....i believe that my car MAY be an 850...due to this panel thats welded as though there was a Majic wand gear box originally in the car. Also the fact that the new gearbox hole is rather 'roughly cut' gearbox hole, am i correct in thinking that it may not be a deluxe and is an 850??
