So i dont care if i get hit whilst travelling at 80 clicks, im doing nothing wrong

What do you do on a country road when someone pulls out to overtake?
Do you...
1) Slow down a little and let him pass.
2) Keep the foot down and hope that someone coming the other way hits him.

well it is actually breaking the road rules to accelerate while you are being overtaken, but you can usually tell by the car's body language when they're getting close to doing it, and thats when you speed up for about 5 secs and get some distance.
then they'll either get the hint and back away or go ahead and speed past you.
Either way it gets them off your tail.
I don't leave someone who is tailgating me for very long before i start doing things to get them off..
I'll leave it if theres a roundabout coming up though.. never seen anyone who was able to keep up with me through a roundabout xcept another mini.

No its not a tough one
When im sitting on my 80km, and someone passes me, then theres generally lots of clear road for all to use. So i just remain at my speed, and ill find out what happens if they decide to pull out into a car, and i'll try to avoid contact.
Ive been passed by two f***cukheads on christmas day last year, while on my L's. You couldnt get a longer straight, and they pulled out to pass, oncoming traffic was only 50 metres away, and i went for the gravel .
And i am not an inconsiderate, bad - whatever driver

I've heard (dunno if it's true) that in Canada they have a law that on roads over X speed limit if you are travelling below the speed limit and have more than five vehicles behind you, you must pull overand let them pass.

Sounds like a sensible idea to me. I stick to this especially when towing the Caravan.

The US also have that rule, along with you MUST accelerate up to Freeway speeds on On Ramps to merge smoothly and the traffic on the freeway has to cooperate!!!

The rule about people behing you is NOT just towing caravans etc it refers to everybody!!! All designed to reduce stress and keep things moving on the open road.

People also get booked for travelling too slow on a freeway!!

They have Driver Education advertisements regularly on TV in some states.

Me driving slow is not being a crap. Its doing what Pauls says. Its not my bloody fault that i have as much right to travel at 80km, and no more, as guys do at 110km and we get mixed up on the same road, and i dont see why the **** i should move over.

Back to the main point of life. umm Tassie's P plater speed limit is too bloody slow and dangerous for everyone, as I have whinged to many people about
But no one can do crap about it, so ALL drivers have to put up with it.

you are still missing the point road courtesy if you are holding up traffic let em past i really hope when you get your full licences every p plater on the island gets in your way and holds you up and makes your life a misery cos unconsiderate drivers like you make life dificult for everyone else actully i hope you get stuck behind every semi on the island on every hill when you are tring to have a good drive
