BIGGEST QUESTION I WOULD LIKE TO PUT TO THE UNFORTUNATE OWNERS.

Where are they at night?? I constantly garage my minis in a garage, even when I went to Bathurst for the MINI celebration I orgainsed it to leave in the big shed, out of site out of mind is my thinking.

And if I can'd do that I usually remove the lead from the coil to the dizzy, just to make it a bit harder for them, even if they push it out the way down the street I doubt they will be able to start it

I can not imagine what it would be like to have a mini stolen, but I do everything in my power to limit my chances of it happening

My S is always parked under a car-port with a giant ford station wagon parked directly behind it. Good luck to whoever want's to steal it at night.

During the day though, it's parked out in the open. I really should look into how to install a kill switch or something.

because if they are left on the street, it could be simply random thefts but,
if the minis are in garages out of sight and don't get driven much to be seen these guys are good , they are either getting acess to databases either through rta or dare I say it, they are joining mini clubs- internet forums to gain info that joe blow walking pass the street wouldn't even know and stealing to order

I've cleaned this thread up, and ask that people refrain from abuse and accusations. 8)

I'm sorry to hear this something has to be done about this its gone on for too long now and I have my suspicions that its being done right under our noses. Let's hope these bastards get caught and strung up by their short and curleys to the fullest extent of the law.

Once again my condolences for the loss of such a beautiful example of a mini. I really hope you get your pride and joy back.

Sad, very sad!

I would hate for this to happen to me or any of my friends!

Chris, are you suggesting one of the regulars on the forum has some inside information, or could it just be a lurker?

I for one would be royally pissed off if I found one of the 'brothers' was up to no good! Then the other 'brothers' might be forced to take action if you know what I mean!

Most distasteful!

Well this one would be difficult for someone to sell on whole as the cars history is what makes it genuine so it would be identifiable . The badges etc are most likely the reason it was stolen unfortunately so there's a chance they'll turn up for sale somewhere , hopefully the owners thought forward enough to mark their badges with an identifier to be able to ID them . I'm really sorry for the owners but since the sports850's have become so well known of the last few years they aren't a car you can leave anywhere now , they seriously have to be locked up or have someone with them as there is always someone out to get the badges .

Go to the Cop Shop if you have any suspicions they could be looking at the same person, Whats would be worse, police waisting 10 mins of police time or gtting your car stolen next, you never know who it could be

I've just had another look at the post in the members stolen minis thread in members gallery and seen that the badges weren't on it so please ignore my earlier comments about looking for the badges .....
