Im restoring a clubman GT and am looking at getting the interior heatpressed reproduced. My Gt interior colour is a dark brown colour (chestnut i think). i wanted ot know was this colour used up till 78 when they stopped mini's or was it an early colour only.

John Smidt has some vinyl that is similar but bit different shade - Could this be the same or did leyland use different colours that were similar.( i thought maybe same colour just different die lot - like wool)

Apart from John Smidt and new old stock is this colour still avavilable to buy anywhere??

Thankyou Brenton

I'm afraid new old stock trim is getting like hens teeth , your best bet would be to contact the mini specialists in the listing in the how to section and ask if they have any sitting about or happen to be wrecking a mini with the right interior . I did this when I was looking for the seats for the sports850 , I didn't have any success but had a lot of good chats so they are all keen to help . If you send them all an email with a couple of photo's of your GT and explain what you're looking for and that it's a serious restoration rather than someone looking for something to get through rego it might open some doors .

Bubba i will ask a fella at my resto course about a place he went to in Sydney that reproduced his MG door trims to exact like originals he had.

Thanks for that Chop Chop. Polyweld may possibly be able to make them, just cant get in contact with them and a place called supertrim may also be able to

But i need some vinyl in the right colour, the stuff John Smidt has got is slightly different colour (possible same coulour different die lot- not sure)

I wanted to know is there anywhere else that may have some vinyl in 'chestnut', or do they still make it

But i may be better trying to track down some old door cards interior

Brenton
