Take the primary gear cover (in the picture) cover off and slide the gear off the crank.

Also I believe you can pull the primary gear through the primary gear cover by removing the seal around it and then pulling it through.

If I pull the flywheel housing off won't oil go everywhere?

Yeah, a lot of oil. You will need to drain the sump. You will also need a replacement gasket and seal.

What are you trying to do anyway?
