Is there a legal supplier of customised car registration number plates for display purposes only?

A while back Street Machine Magazine had a competition where you could win a car (a 1967 Ford Galaxie). The build was sponsored by Southern Comfort (the drink) and it had custom plates that said "SoCo Cruiser" or "Southern Comfort" or something.

It mentioned the name so maybe if you found a back issue or shot them an email they may be able to help you out

Thanks Doogie, and others.
I'm wondering if this could get a bit tricky because I'm wanting to recreate a set of the original 1970 NSW plates in black letters on a yellow background for display purposes (car is currently registered in Victoria). I assume they would emboss Display Only or similar at the top instead of the NSW state embossing as per legitimate plates.
Has anyone done this - i.e. official looking plates rather than obvious 'fun' plates?

The Leyland factory actually used to make them for all their marques
I have an original genuine factory "mini" one here :-)

Every year at the Mudgee Small Farms Field Days - in July - the local TAFE has a display. The kids there have a stamping machine and make plates on a variety of colours and sizes.

I had a couple made with our property names on them to hang on a gate.

Hanra - it's the one to the left of the Mini one on your shelf that I'm trying to source.

You could try here:

http://www.numberplate.australia.ms/

I have not used them or had nothing to do with them. Just was searching the net and found them.

Thanks, I'll give them a try.

By the way, Hanra, I meant the yellow and black one to the far left.
