Incidently, mine is running now. I haven't taken pictures though.

I have issues with stalling, some backfiring through the carb if you put your foot down under about 2500 RPM and its a bitch to start when its cold.

Its fun, but I'm buying a new car as a daily driver :).

Ya Its finally running
The reason it is stalling and backfiring I would say is that it is too lean at these revs would make it hard to start as well, should be able to adjust the mixture srew to richen it up only need a bit and it shouldn't muck up the rest of the rev range too much. Also is the choke connected it will help with cold starts.

just wondering if anyone has messed with cooling?

obviously intercooler in the intake is out of the question - i heard somewhere that someone had added heat sinks to their BINI charger on an a-series

Depends on what compression your engine has if it is standard ie 8.8:1 or less and in good condition just bolt the blower on and away you go.

Ben, I read somewhere that the bigger bore engines effectively have less boost with one of your SC12 kits than the smaller bores. ie small bores, say 998, would get around 7 psi, but big bores, say 1330 would have less than 7psi. I barely understood the physics that were explained around this.
But does that mean a bigger bore engine (1330) could get away with a higher compression ratio eg 9.0 :1?

Thanks Spaceboy - so if you're only getting around 5-6psi, then I would guess you could get away with a higher compression ratio? ie if CR of 8.9 :1 is OK at 7 PSI then what CR would be OK at 5PSI.
