Recently I replaced my 998 with a 1275. What do I have to do to adjust the rego? Blue slip only? Where can I get a blue slip from? My car has disk brakes. Thank you.

Yes , you will need a blue slip to change the engine number , I couldn't believe it last time I went , you used to be able to front up to the RTA with the receipt and they'd check it matched what it was supposed to but now you need the full blue slip to say the engine number is on the motor ...

Ring the RTA and they will fax you the list of Blue slip authorised inspection stations for your area.
Cheers Pete

Its not a full blue slip - they will only check the engine number and the compliance (identity) plates

Be sure they notate on the slip that you have disc brakes - they probably wont understand the significance.

That is unless the law has dramatically changed in the last two or three years

It shouldn't be anymore than 40 dollars.

It was about 28 - 38 dollars in NSW (couldn't exactly remember) cus I did it 2 months ago to rectify the engine number problem. Dunno how much in other states though.

Are you at NSW? If so I can find you the details of that person who did it. He's a pretty nice fellow. I rem he loved my car and ask if I wanna sell it to him.

Ben
