double post ftl.

ok this is what ive come up with after going back through posts.

the guy i bought it off put 12" wheels on it and presumably the flares. He also changed the exhaust back from a 2" stainless to a 1.75" unit, unless the hothead dude cant measure.
then the hot head dude bought it and put a 1275 in it with some head work.

then he sold it to the dude who put the 4efte in it, was he a member? i cant find any referance to a sale on here, since been sold on recently.

sorry for annoying everyone, but im sure you all understand mini obsessions.

it was crazy easy.
what happened was the car was at the body works (my girlfriend at the times dad had thos bodyworks) we were in the process of sanding i think. He had a couple of supras there he was fixing and he needed somewhere to sit the back seat while he was working on the inside and just happned to sit it in the mini, perfect fit, just right.

It needed no modification in depth or width, all i did was make a couple of brackets to bolt the seat to and thats it. Then the top bit is a piece of mdf with some foam glued to it, then the material off the back seat of the car that the front seats came from ( so it matched obviously) was stretched over the foam. Done finished.

gadgets, just look for a japanese auto-dismantler, theres heaps around. they pretty much only want the engines as front cuts etc so you should be able to pickone up cheap, me im going a different route, a s6 rx-7 rear seat, looks like it should be comfy in the mini 8)

i was waching it on ebay before i moved, but when i moved i lost all my favourites so unfortunately i lost all info on it.

Why was that custom top section required? What does the top section of a JZA80 rear seat look like? I'm assuming they're taller than that.... or are they not?

haha apparently.

to anwser an earlier question i was not able to use the upper section from the supra because it was the wrong shape and too large, hence making a custom piece.
