Thanks for the welcome!
Yes, the Wolseley 1000 is the Hornet front and regular rear. Australian style doors. I'll post some pictures in the picture thread when I can boot my son off the main PC.

Those Wolseley 1000's are like the Hornets/Elfs but with with the normal Mini bum?? A Mini with the Hornet/Elf front? We don't have them here, you see!

I want one of them, but the other way around, mini front on an Elf body..... the Wolsley 1000 sounds like an odd little beastie, obviously made to look nice but they didn't want to tool up the proper body shell production in Sth Africa

In South Africa, i'm pretty sure there was a Elf/Hornet with the normal Mini front. Not sure what it was called though.

It was called the Mini MK3. Very rare, like the Wolseley 1000. I've never seen a MK3, and there are only two Wolseley 1000's outside of SA..and about 12 known left total.

Hi all,
My name is Pete and I have got a 1968 deluxe which has got clubman dash and tail lights ( it was like this when I bought it ) I got it SA when I was living down there about 3 1/2 years ago. This is mini number 4 for me. The wife keeps hinting to me to get rid of it because we have another baby on the way but I think two kids will fit fine.
Anyway I now live at Emu Plains and do about 500km's a week in it. Still going strong.
Hopeing to join a club soon but still have a bit of work to do before then.

Cheers Pete

P.S This forum is great.

2 kids in the back - hah!, you know you're driving a mini when you have 3 big drunk blokes in the back :) welcome to the forum

does your deluxe have the clubman parcel tray as well, or just the instrument cluster. Are they lift-up door handles? You don't hear of clubman tail-lights being put into a roundnose often, though I know someone who has a Cooper S that is genuine, but some previous owner put clubman lights and door catches into it

skssgn- It has full dash and switch's as for the doors there are the orignal type not clubman style.
Cheers
