Hmm not sure if its the same - I seem to remember it was the same with a few models in the BMC era.

I got a complete new unit (arm, light, mounting and wiring) from minisport last year.

They used the switch with the bulb right up to the end of the Mini Deluxe and Mk1 Cooper S in mid 1969.
The switch is different to the one in the Morris 1100. Only the bulb and lens are the same.
The Mini switch mounts on the side of the column, the 1100 switch mounts on the top of the column.

thanks Morris

did they share it with anything else that you know of?

strangely ADO16's don't seem to have the cult following some of us think they deserve...

Yes, they are still available from the UK. Minispares stocks them but pretty expensive.

You beat me to it Kevan....

The indicator in Olli won't stay 'off' but rather flops to turn right all the time. To really *#@!me off, I missed out on an ebay auction for a new Lucas part with the bulb end. Ok, I didn't miss out, I forgot about it....

I have looked into purchasing a correct replacement (GBP 65.00 + postage) which is not stupid money but more than I want to pay....I am cursing my eBay ineptitude as it went for GBP32.00...

Then I investigated rebuilding the current one with a couple of places...$80-$150....again not stupid....but

...I decided to go for the 'blade' end as fitted to the original 1100 when the indicator lights were in the dash....$60.50 off eBay delivered....

This will solve my problem until I can be bothered either having the original fixed or buy a 'proper' replacement. In the interim, the original can go in a box of 'original parts' that still function (sort of) along with the distributor that is about to be replaced.

The only thing that I won't have is a beam 'flash' function....but then does anybody really want to see me flash?

Thanks for that Graham, but it is the inner workings that are the main issue. The arm is complete (though I can't get a bulb in it) and an overhaul kit would probably do wonders, but then that is no good if the indicator switch itself isn't working properly....

That 's the kit I got a couple of years back from Mark Forster (MK1) in the UK - good price but the freight will be a killer - just got a thermostat housing with extra temp probe hole - freight quote was $89 for a $37 item weighing 700G so I have had it sent to a mate in Florida for $10 and he will post on with some other stuff which he says will be about $20

It's a bugger when the $ is so good at the moment but Mini Mania only use FedEx for all overseas shipments and they charged like there's no tomorrow.
