It has been an epic voyage, but its finally finished. :x

Pick up the bonnet from Trixitrine tomorrow, and for those who saw it at the Mini show on Sunday, its was the one with the Red Back painted on it, next to Mr Hankey, will post some pics as soon as I get it home and before it goes away to be finished off  properly, Clear coat by 4 coats...

I know how good it is, but I will let you make up your own mind.

Will post pics in Members Mini Gallery, so keep an eye out.

Davo now you can get yourself one of those gear knobs with the redback in it :D I have one here somewhere but it's broken :( , might repair it one day.

Trix, I've been thinking about getting some airbrushing done on one my projects and was wondering about what paint most airbrushes use? also the car it'll be going on will be done in two pack, would this pose a problem?

hey thanx everyone!!

Kennomini - Geez what a flashback - I havent seen one of those gearsticks for yonks... Anyway, automotive basecoat is what is used on cars 2pac is a big big problem because it is a complete unit - I will try to explain.... normally cars are painted with undercoat which is an 'open' paint, one that is penetrable, will be affected by elements etc, therefore they get a clearcoat to seal them - 2pac is a 'closed' paint essentially includes the clearcoat, its already sealed so I cannot airbrush on 2pac with basecoat - It just wipes off (I've seen it happen  lol) BUT I can airbrush 2pac on 2pac... which is a. Very expensive and b. poorer results, as the paint tends not to blend as nicely, and its a thicker paint thats harder to work with... you probably already know the above about paint, but its easier for me to explain it properly.....
What kinda design you thinkin of?
