What those kids did on the F3 was pretty stupid. But i tell you by far the worste type of drivers in sydney are the soccer mums with a big urban 4WD or worste still, the tiny asian woman in a corolla  I have seen too many things that I hold my beath over caused by them!!!

One of the most annoying type of drivers are older asian blokes with expensive cars! they go at like 10km/h, take really wide turns and indicate for ages before moving to the outside lane and into their driveways! GRrrr don't buy an expensive car if you can't afford to drive it like normal people!

Sorry I've had my vent... going back to my corner now... 8)

Re: Road Toll................ you have only got to look at the deaths per 10,000 cars (Motor Magazine has been on a crusade for 18 months or so with this) which has gone from over 10 per 10,000 cars in the late 1960's down to 1.5 in 2003.................... yet we have a problem.......... well sorry Mr Politician but i'm afraid that when your road going population grows, so do deaths - thats a fact of life.

my missus is a teacher....and I work with 110 of them (no I am not one  )

They are a breed of their own...always used to getting things their own way......

But in saying that, not all are as hard as that.

EXACTLY!

It's the same with all the show ponies along the foreshore on a sunday afternoon! Bunch of try-hards half of the cars probably belong to their parents  Though I'm sure someone here will shoot me down for saying so, I believe P platers should have some restrictions placed on the cars they drive in terms of turbo etc...

When I had pops towed home, I was chatting to the towie about this subject.

He and I were old school rev heads. In our day we engineered things. If you put a V8 in a holden, you also put V8 brakes and Ford 9 inch diff in...then get the thing engineered.

These days, dem sik Lancer driverz drive into a rice shop, get turbo installed, and drive out. Double the power and do nothing with the rest of the car. That's not what it's all about. They don't think about what else needs doing, they just want an instant power increase, and as easy as possible.

What has the world come to..... :?

Haaaaaaaa..

On the way home from getting my minis my mothers hubby wanted to stop at Thornleigh maccas (as usual) We saw this gorgeous black BMW with the hottest wheels ever...But there were two doylies on the headrests and rear window and two senoir citz were driving it at about 5km/h  in the middle lane...

The old man used to say to me all the time the only thing worse than a volvo driver is an asian volvo driver... according to some forums these days the Subaru has become the new volvo :?:

I was a statistic from this type of road racing. The cars had blocked the road on the F6 and I made a mistake of judgement, I saw a gap betewen them and went for it while they were travelling slowly and after getting through lowed continued on ( I was towing a kart trailer).Unknown to me, one of them took exception to this and chased me. The long and the short of it was that he forced me to swerve and the trailer stepped out and we went off and rolled the lot. There was video of all this ans after investigation it was found that the pursuing car had stolen number plates on it so he could not be found. I should not have done what I did and it would not have happened, but they should not have blocked the road, no excuses, just a story of cosequences. BTW the other driver did have P plates on.

Naah in my expereince, the worste of these types of offenders are the older asian blokes that drive those boxy old camrys! Burwood plaza is INFESTED with them and they take 3yrs to park their car because it is too hard to drive a camry!

Back to my corner...

P platers dont get targeted. Peice of crap cars, heavily modified cars and cars/drivers that do really stupid and obvious things (ie 120km/hr in 8 zone, cutting and weaving in traffic, 6 people in a 4 seat car etc) get targeted . And well if a P plater is driving either one, well thats unfortunate.

Yes all drivers can be f@#Kwits .... but on sunday it was mostly p platers and dickheads in their rice mobiles ... :)

I agree with the drop in the death toll, its a fantastic acheivement. But people still die from speeding and inexperience. Unfortunately that wont change anytime soon.

And well the last thing id like to point out .... all good drivers drive minis :)

Saw a funny (or sad) sight the other day - A very short older lady - so short she was looking through the steering wheel and had to stretch up to look sideways out the window - reverse parking in a shopping centre car park. Had a 13 yo pock faced very embarassed kid get out of the car and stand beside the drivers window and direct her into the space. The way the kid behaved it look like a regular occurance

Should be a law against it

it's not that they were racing or being stupid, it's that they were doing it in traffic in the middle of the day!!! how retarded is that?
