How bout matt black body, wheels, grille and bumpers? Then go all black interior, and
all black engine bay. Then get a black number plate EVIL-1 or somethng.
You could scare the hell outta people in the dark when they can't see you!

Too much black. Matt black really needs some chrome/silver in there to set it off!

You'll have your disc's in there, under black calipers of course.

A goth is someone who try's too hard to be different, and because of this it contradicts what they have set out for in the first place.

Love it! So smooth, so totally fictionless....

Then you could have a black dash with a big black button that lights up black on a black background that says "Please don't push this button again!"

Sorry ppls - Hitchhikers strikes again!.LOL

I know what a goth is, if anyone doesn't, I'll introduce you to my cousin.
20yo, never worked a day in his life, sleeps all day, hair halfway down his back,
and black fingernails.
He drives an old colt that's worth less than the fuel in it.
He's my definition of a goth (and a loser).

You cant do the matt black paint without a lowered roof  !!!!

Back a couple years ago, there was 4 of us with mini roadster projects in the same workshop. One guy had one with a chopped half height windscreen... he was planning on doing the same colour scheme on it....

matt black paint job
10 inch widened stockies and whitewalls
SLAMMED
BIG chain link steering wheel
No bumpers
Custom chrome grille. (tip - use a piece of chrome bumper bar with 5 over-riders, there is a mini with this in the UK and it it looks TOPS)

Basically it was going to look like a 60's greaser car.

Dont know what happened to it though.

ive always had the idea that if i did a hot rod, it would be matte black but with a clear gloss flames. No colour in the flames just gloss!! so the car is still all black! Feel free to use this idea anyone coz i cant see myslef having a hot rod in the near future. As for air bags instead of rubber cones, ive got a man in know on the hunt for some similar sized bags for me already, hopefullh he comes through with the goods!!!

have a good day
trent

if it is done right, it will look really really good,
if it is done bad, it will look really really bad....
i think but that you have the right idea and will look
awesome (if it is done right and there is high attention
to the little things)

Done right it will still look bad!

A: Matt black (as a PRIMER) is only an intended step during shakedown before the car gets blown apart for final paint. Some rodders leave it on, c'os they're lazy or unimaginative.

B: Whitewalls on a mini? Wrong era. Whitewalls were already downsizing to thin whites by 1963. Pretty much gone on most American cars by 1965. Whitewalls can work with large American cars, maybe some European tourers......not something like a mini.

C: Moon discs? Unless you're planning on some saltflat speed record attempts, what's the point? Once again, they had their time in the 50s.

D: The matt black/rat rod look is on it's last legs.....especially in America and it's beginning to die off here......too many "me-too's" jumping on the bandwagon. Most don't understand why/how it came about anyhow.

My thoughts: leave the paint as is, or buff it up. Strip the roof paint off and metalflake it. Original, as a survivor, is always cool but MAKING it look shitty is just wrong!
