For those who are thinking of installing HID kits on their mini (from previous thread title Xenon HID) the advisable type of headlight is projector type as it directs the light and I know its still illegal cos of not having a self leveling motor and must be engineered .... anyway

I found this manufacturer/supplier in Korea

HB-101S
US$118 a pair
Minimum order 50 pairs
Image

HB-106
US$58 a pair
Minimum order 20 pairs

I bet Razor is really happy he tried to help people out here with better lighting  No one HAS to buy them, he is just letting people know that there is a manufacturer and that's how much they cost if they want to get in on a group buy.

They are not better lighting. They are fashion, they are rubbish and they are illegal.
Like Doogie said, "Whats wrong with a pair of Hella H'4"s?"
If you want better headlights fit H4s with good globes and relays. If you want to look fashionable buy these. [/rant]

I've got hella H4s on my mini and I was just adding this to the previous thread
http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=45046

I think cars with HID kits (illegal ones) are a menace on the road, they just blind the oncoming traffic as their headlights are not designed for it. Even the cars that came with HIDs still are annoying on the road. You can see them a mile away.

Im just adding this as projector headlights light a more focused area, providing fewer of what we called “scatter loss” thus slightly reducing the glareness effect but it WILL still scatter the light as it DOESNT have the self leveling motor.

Anyway the 1st two types are ugly like a terminator type
the last one seems OK but you can also get like kinda normal looking ones
