Easiest way.
Just make sure the dude knows which is toe-in and which is toe-out. Goodyear Tyre did my Fiat once- gave it 4mm toe-OUT! Rooted the tyres in a couple of weeks..

mini is meant to have 1.587mm toe out...
here's the procedure from the manual (apparently no good for a clubman)
1/ with the car on a level floor, turn the wheels to a straight ahead position, pump up the tyres to the recommended pressure, check both tie rods are the same overall length
2/ make a mark on the inside wall of each tyre 184.150mm (7.25") from the wheel centre and 238.76mm (9.4") from the floor surface, in front of the wheel centres. Using a bar type aligning guage, take a measurement between these marks
3/ roll the car forward approx half a wheel turn to bring the marks the same distance from the floor surface, but to the rear of the wheel centres. Again, using the aligning guage take a measurement between the marks. If the alignment is correct, the first measurement should be greater than the second by 1.587mm (0.0625").
4/ if the alignment is incorrect, release the lock-nuts at the tie rod ball joints and turn each tie-rod an equal amount in the required direction and retighten the lock nuts, recheck the alignment
to do it for a clubbie, make sure that there is about 19mm between the tyre and the tie bar at full lock, otherwise it's basically the same
SO THERE!
