Here's the full list of mods.................... he wants 10K

Personalised plates - *GUN 16*

All rust cut out with new metal welded in, all doors and quaters were just freshly painted about 2 weeks ago. The body is all PERFECTLY straight. The car is BRIGHT orange and turns heads everywhere its driven, it has 17 by 7 inch chrome wave wheels and the front gaurds have been rolled out by ozzy tyres.

Re chromed front bumper, grill, light surrounds, rear quater panel bars. All New window and door rubbers bought from datsport.
Black and grey Saas front bucket seats, retractable seat belts, momo steering wheel, kenwood head unit and 6*9's, monza gear knob, new pedals, gauges, re painted door trims, black hood lining, black carpet, sound deadener, fire exstinguisher. The interior is very tidy and looks nice.

The car has an L16 (1.6) datto motor with a reground cam and some new pistons. It runs on unleaded fuel (very economical) and has a 4spd MANUAL gearbox. It also has a 2inch exhaust and r160 LSD diff.

Huge cross drilled and slotted disc brakes up front, super low king springs all round, pedders suspension. Car sits quite low and looks perfect.

For security it has a viper alarm with full remote central locking (yes RCL in a 1971 car )

I've also got some spares - a set of twin su's, electronic distributor and datsport steering support brace that aren't on the car. Also original front seats are still in my garage. Theres probably alot more about the car im forgetting, but will fill you in upon email. Ask any questions through email.

Im chasing $10,000 for this 1600 and am not very keen to sell it for any less due to the amount spent and time spent on this car. It is a very loved car that has always been garaged and very looked after.
NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE. Email [email protected] for genuine interest then i will give my phone number out.

Yeaahhh, bought one new about 1970 from Capital Motors on P'metta Road....v nice car, especially with 175 Michelin XAS Assymetrical radials on wider rims I had  Most obvious fault was the single skin on each side of the boot...quite common to see multiple pock marks from peoples tool boxs floating around unrestrained...looked bloody horrible!

My fav would have to be a Ferrari 275 GTB/4 from the mid 1960s...front mounted V12 and six downdraft webers in the valley.....I once worked for a fella who had two at the time, and a 1310 webered Rally Mini (but thats another story  ).......dreaming again  :)

MC_Cush..... I see that X19 has TD Gemini SLE alloys on it too  what the?

CPOCSM, 9YaTaH + sg ......... My bro's first car was a Datto 1600. He paid a grand for it 6 years ago.... the car was immaculate with undented hubcaps etc etc.... Was offered 3 grand for it 2 weeks after he bought it and said "HELL NO!"

Has been sitting in the back yard for 2 years since the original L16 caught fire and died. He's doing an S14 SR20T conversion all by himself.... slowly.

In my opinion, the L block motors are pieces of sh*t unless highly modified.

Here she be..

ask if they're a 98mm pattern. if so it's another source for X wheels without going to italy. the only other marque that i know of which uses a 4x98 pattern is maserati.

catching up on old topics - thats what you get with a weeks holiday :D

if money no object, mine would be the Ferrari Dino 246 GTS - sex on wheels i've always thought...

http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=en&lr=&q=+site:media9.motorcities.com+ferrari+246+GTS

or more practically, another AW11 MR2 with the 4AGZE. i'm heading down the lexus v8 in a mustang style celica as well. a Ducati 916 would be the thing for engine sound, nothing beats a v2 duc.
