Now that I have pops to drive around and enjoy, I am rethinking what I want out of JAM.

Since the trim went in....IMHO the whole car is pure brilliance  It really needs the motor to match. JAM started out with the plan of being close to original, but that plan has gone right out the window..... 8)

My current plan (read: wish) is to buy an injected Rover front cut, with injection and air maybe, and do a transplant (subject to bank balance recovering from massive debt)

No timeframe for this, as JAM is very happy under his cover in the garage. If I can free up some funds within the next 12 months, it will happen.

Input anyone?

DO IT!

A+ motors are 10fold smoother and quieter and more responsive and and and. They're really nice. A 1275 injected would be AMPLE for power...
You've already got the discs.

You know of Steve here in Adelaide i'm sure.
He'll be able to help u out if no-one else can

I've heard that the injected motors actually don't go quite as well as a good carbed one??

Talk to Graham Russell Anton and build something hot!!

Love the idea of the air-con though - maybe power windows and central locking and all that other crap out of a late model would be great too!

The more I think about it, the more I love the idea. 8)

Back in the 90's  I was a Holden head. My mates were putting VN Dunnydore injected 5.0 V8's into old HQ's and Torana's. That was considdered a hot mod back then.

I see it being the same as dropping a late model Rover A+ injected motor into an old school Mini. To be honest, I have seen more GTi / VTEC / Starlet conversions than injected A+ conversions.

What's a front cut worth?

Gimme, gimme, gimme.....

Whaddya mean hot mod back then?? I still love that conversion as Holdens are still my OTHER love. I'd love an EH or something like that with an injected V8.

But anyways I'm getting off topic.

Is there much work that can be done to the injected A+ motors??

JAM was to be an original Clubby resto......you are correct oh Great willy....

It still is (almost), but the motor will be 'out there' a bit.

I am gunna wheel JAM out into the sunlight and take some snaps this weekend. It really looks HOT with the trim in. Needs a motor to match! If I get a front cut, I might get a nice wood dash too..... yummy!

Modifications are endless.... same old motor underneath.
just less wear, rattles and crunches.
We are doing a couple of big rover injected motors at the moment.
smoother through the whole rev range, quieter, air con.....
the advantages are endless
