Come over to Adelaide.
The 1275 injected rover i drove was a dream.
Very responsive, nice and fast, holds the power thru all the revs, no flat spots.

Pat a Rover front cut is the (basically) whole front end of a Rover mini.
Alternator, aircon (if it has it) loom, dash, guages, subframe, and you even get the engine!

You can then put the rover stuff into the "old" style mini and call it a Rover. 8)

They literally cut the front off the car and you take the parts out of the complete front end.

Big power rovers.....
all you need is a decent engine and the know-how on tuning them.
Just like an a series.....

They are cut through the windscreen and through the floor pan.
if you hook up a battery and fuel line you can actually run and drive them.
Trust me on that one... in the car park at work
I personally don't use the panels but transfer all the mechanicals into a donor body

Back in ninty something the subframes were redesigned for the EFI engine. There might be a bit of work in getting it all to fit.

Yea Pat, you use as much as you want, but not the panels.

So someone might use everything (motor, box, injection, air cond, rad, dash, loom, brakes etc) or just motor/box.

For JAM, I am thinking "the lot" 8)

EFI subframes are easy to fit any mini.
The whole conversion is not that difficult.
Plus there are many people here willing to help

*Fruity's brain ticks over with thoughts and ideas, as she rubs her chin and say 'schweeet' - Fruity's hubby sees the smile on her face as she reads the idea off ausmini and exits to hide all the debit cards*

Hope plenty of pics follow...

I Would love the idea of a rover front cut, but the only thing that put me in a quandrt is the ADR regulations. In NSW to be Truley legal you need to get an injected mini conversion Engineered. But as the car is injected it comes under more stringent ADR reg's. OZcooper down in wyong has been trying to get full cars into the country with injection and has found it quite difficult as he has to meet all the regs to do so. Before going out and buying one, i would check the rules here in NSW, as i am sure they are different from state to state. It is hard to know what your supposed to do.

13sec, maybe you can shed some light on this stuff as you obviously have a highly engineered car and late model engine system etc etc, it would be similar i would have thought.

Cheers

Aaron

NMP have been putting 1.3i engines in old mini's recently, registering them and selling them.. It might be worth giving them a call..

BTW welcome to the 1.3i club JAM (hopefully) :)
