Hi,

Cool :)

No, I dont think it will affect clutch operation - but I think it will be a nightmare trying to bleed the clutch fluid on the slave cylinder :) I know mine is ;)

So running the RE7 ay :) That was my idea - until we started and GR walked away and said "Good luck Pete, not a chance"
I didnt want to cut the firewall to fit it. I would guess you will cut the firewall right?

What size is the dump pipe off the turbo?

Pete

Just another thought, could you mount the radiator on the drivers side inner guard? Cut the grill part off an old passenger side guard and with a bit of creativity you have two radiator mounts :)

Pete the dump pipe off the turbo is 2 1/4" for the first bend then reduces to 2" to fit between the engine and subframe. The dump pipe is actually the one part of what I had made that I'm 100% happy with. I'm seriously considering changing to a clubby front for the extra room though and rethinking the layout of pretty much everything under the bonnet. :? (would have been smarter to have decided this a bit earlier, but I'm sure this won't be the last changing of minds that I have during this project  )

Abbino235 It's idea's like that which is why I read the posts on this forum :D I will certainly be doing some measurement in the future in regards to this idea.
Cheers
Pete

Appreciate peoples positve comments but I just don't like it :( So went around to GR place the other day to check on the progress of the head (202) and got talking about alternative idea's and out he pulls this turbo/inlet manifold that a 60's era (I think) race car used.

Now the manifold can't be used by me but the concept and placement of the turbo and inlet manifold got me seeing a lot of my space issues being sold. The carby will be placed where the turbo was originally going to be. No issue's with that according to Graham :) [/img]

Didn't release you could run out of post space :o Unlike the manifold shown in the picture the inlet manifold for want of a better word will be a log type arrangement. These are some photo's of the rough position the turbo will be situated in and this time Mr enforcer will be tasked with the job of both manifolds. If it works out as planned their will be no bulk head or bonnet mods needed  The turbo needs to come in and down 1/2" from the photo's to clear 8) Also to the right to line up with 2&3. (Dump act just sitting loose.
PS Ben GR said I should look at your arrangement with the turbo over near the passenger side. Have you got any photo's???? Overall I feel this is a better concept? Open to negative comments with arrangement :D

I reckon keep the roundie shell they look better anyway
Also make sure you keep us updated with pictures throughout the process :D . It seems as though your redesigning the whole system there. Have you looked at the other long turbo thread on here and seen how that one is set up?

you might want to have a look at mine... since this picture i have made a new inlet mainfold ie, from the turbo to the webber... that keeps it alittle closer to the block and facing more towards the grill.

Pete its the same turbo and I was informed by the turbo mob CGC or GCG? out at Condell Park Sydney that it is the smallest ball bearing currently available by Garrett (whether that is 100% I'm not sure).
Clubmn my carby will be in a simular position as yours but will be blow through. The car is being taken out to a buiness called OZ RACING in January and then the action should start and things should be clearer in regards to how the engine bay componets will be set out. I've pretty much have the main ie expensive bits gathered and will attempt to put together a bit of a build thread in the new year for those interested, until then have a safe and merry christmas.
