Found this not sure if it has come up before
heres the link
http://www.bretts.com.au/~con/mini/v8mini/

"its very interesting what you can do to a clubbieI like his comment down the bottom of the page

"What is even more surprising is that this car does not feel over engined. It runs just about the same way an original Mini does. Only difference being the extra torque…"

would be a bit of fun at Wakefeild park although i think youl know youve been in a fight after spending a day wrestling it round the track.

Cheers :)

I see it's an aussie website. Is the car aussie? There was one of those up in QLD, I am sure of it.

Not sure where the cars from
I was just gooogling around and found it.

i can just picture the look on the v8 commodor or falcon driver that tries to drag it off from the lights. i can see him crying in his beer telling his mates that he had been left for dead by a Mini ( Priceless)

I think it is off another page but the guy that originally did it is either in the UK or in Norway or sweden or something. Apparently if I remember rightly it is an austin princess gearbox that the rover engine is mated up to.

Oh well almost right it was finland here is the originals' url:

isn't that "the mini man" (or whoever he is) from QLD who runs the mobile mini repair business. he's on ausmini every now and then.

pretty sure brad (13secmini) knows him
