Not wife... but she complains that I rough up my hands too much working on the mini... doesn't like rough hands on her skin.

Well as a woman I can understand where you guys are coming from men are just as jealous!

I'm online alot. I used to work online, but now ausmini and the other non-mini forums I'm a member of have taken over  Hubby gets really jealous of my time online. I have heaps of friends on messenger that live interstate now so I use to catch to them, without running up phone bills.

Despite being a crazed Ford man he is really getting into the mini thing. I said since we don't have much room maybe we should get rid of the second one but he insisted I keep it and he'll make room. He can't wait til it's up and running!

Now i'm stuck at home with kids all day I need something for myself instead of being fanatical about housework. Now it looks like i'll return to work, but nightshift  My hubby has a stressful job he works hard physically so I know he needs something for himself I told him to take up a hobby, he did Golf! *sings* Zippity Do Da Zippity da..Thank christ!

Yeah, My missus isn't THAT happy with my Mini addiction. I've we have no money right now as we're building a new house, and she's sick of me begging for funding approval for various items! I have so many ideas for what I want to do with my Mini and I'm just short on time, money and skills!!

She does like the Mini Club social outings though - and my daughter enjoys going for a drive so at least I win there i suppose.

Well my wife (of nearly a year) is very good about the car and actually encourages me to get in the shed, so she can muck around on the compoota. Even on week nights! But she's Italian from the old country so maybe cars run in her blood.
Cheers

Matt

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

I used to get a LOT of grief, especially after taking 6 weeks every day from 9pm till midnight, and every weekend to build the van last year, we came up with an agreement of maximum 3 nights a week, and one day on the weekend..... plus she's heaps happier since I obtained and sold the moke - did anyone notice where it got to on ebay  any time I bring crap home and she whinges I'll say "I'm gonna sell it, remember how much I got for the moke?!" and she'll be like "oops, sorry honey, please give me some of the obscene profit you make"

Sarah has no real issues with it. I sat her down way back when we started seeing each other and told her that I would always be a car nut and to not try and change me.

She quite likes driving a Mini occasionally too, but is happier with her Jackaroo. ie: the car she THINKS is hers, but is REALLY my tow vehicle for bringing hoime Minis!! 8)
