G'Day,
After years of raising a family and thinking about it I have enroled at Tafe to learn the skills to give Marvin the body makeover he deserves. But - there is always a but - tafe require 6 students before they will run the course. I have just been informed there are only 5 (which includes my brother and a mate from work), in the class at the moment, hence my post, is anyone interested?
Details are: Tafe Bankstown - Sydney,
Course: Vehicle restoration, hand manufacture of panels, repairing and restoring of motor vehicle bodies and body panels, specialising in steel and aluminium.
Times: 19 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 5.30 to 8.30pm starting in a couple of weeks time.
Cost: $570 :( but you learn from a professional.

PM or email me if interested, and I can forward details or forms.
Dino.

Sounds Interesting. I'm not far from you (greystanes) - there isn't anything closer to us than Bankstown??

I like the sound of that course....and value the skills you can get out of TAFE (I have done quite a few TAFE trade courses)....but alas I haven't got the time or money for this one.....

But I hope you get your numbers.....good luck with it!

G'Day Bob,
They were going to run the course in Wetheral Park when I enquired last year, but due to "rationalisation" have restricted it to Bankstown and I believe Campbelltown, but thats even further away.
13secmini,
Had no idea you were that close, have been waiting for dyno-day to have a good look at your "beast".

13sec - My mini is my daily driver - and it's loud. I'm surprised anyone in Greystanes hasn't "MET" my car yet!!

There are heaps in Greystanes! I wish i knew you lived near me last week!

I contacted the Parramatta advertiser asking them to help me promote the Drive-In night, and they rang me back wanting to come take a photo of me and the car and do an article!! I didn't want to be alone in the picture as my car isn't the nicest example of a Mini, so I contacted our club secratary to get some names of locals. The paper wanted to base the story around people that live in the local area. I was blown away - she only went through the list up to the D's or E's and I got 5 Minis in the Picture. I would have called you if i knew you were a local!

Where in Greystanes are you? (PM if you don't want to broadcast it!)

Mine's orange, but some call it red - but if it looks nice nice either:-

a) it's not me
b) I was driving really fast
c) you have poor eyesight
d) all of the above

I Grew up (debatable) in Pendle Hill and went to Girraween high (boo). I moved to Caringbah about 3 years ago, and just moved to Greystanes last year preparing to build our new house (in the new estate where boral used to be). I haven't seen your car around, or haven't recognised it but I'll have to catch up at the drive-in night.

Geez - I can't believe how many Minis live in Greystanes - we could form the "Greystanes Mini Club"!!

I have a mate who lives in the Flower streets - know it well. This is the same mate that does the 9 1/4" disc brake conversions - but he doesn't own a Mini anymore - he tells me he's smarter than that!!

Gee Marvin,
If you were to carry me (94Kg) for 900,000 Km you'd need a makeover too!
