A head-on in the Moke with a stoned teenage girl. Numerous cuts and bruises, a broken femur. A month in hospital, four rounds of surgery, 8 months on crutches, 18 months of physio, and wrote the Moke off.

thats a long list

my favourite two are

breaking two fingers while standing on the brake pedal whilst I was trying to put in the split pin - it went ouch that hurts so I try to stand up and put my full body weight on the pedal - when meant it hurt and even more which made me try to pull my fingers back which made me step on the pedal harder which meant fingers were caught more and hurt more which made stand on the pedal harder etc

dropping the entire shell of the Moke on my ribs

I have burnt my hand quite badly, split knuckles, petrol in eyes, mouth and arm pit and "blackened" finger nails.

They are just battle scars.

A whole lot of minor cuts , grazes , bruises and burnsa but the two that come to mind was getting two eyefulls of hydro fluid when a hydro line split under pressure and getting a gob of burning seatbelt webbing drop on my hand while cutting up a moke shaped rust bubble , still got the scar from it too .

I see the pic has been dragged out already.
It's not my car, I was the hanger-onner..
We hit a tree head-on at speed, about 1M above the ground, luckily the tree was small and it bent back to absorb the impact.
I got a smashed femur (100 bits), fractured humorous (NOT funny), 12 stitches in my head, 18 in my arm, spent 21 weeks in traction and had 10 months off work.
The only legacy really is my left leg is 1" shorter than the other. Not really a problem, and it kept me out of Vietnam when I got called up.

I gotta say the Doc wins. Mine was setting up my Commbank account to pay for the Moneypit to be re-built.
