since this is a bit of a spam thread, i might point out that the front page of news.com.au today has a poll about the 4WD parking fee hike in Northern Sydney. i would encourage everyone to get along and vote YES - that people driving large 4WDs should pay more for parking (and other things).

some reasons for my argument:
- they consume more petrol, and vent more gases
- they weigh more, need larger engines, and don't convert the power as well as smaller cars
- they do more damage in an accident, and are thus driving up the costs of our insurance
- they're more likely to kill other people in an accident (be they a pedestrian, or Mini driver)

the scheme would also look to reward people who drive smaller cars ... like Minis! i think that polls like this will be an important tool to guage public opinion, and if the majority vote yes, other councils/governments might look to bring in these changes elsewhere around the country.

i knew there was a reason we get along so well!

i think the only person who wants to keep Brian Smith on Is Dennis Fitzgerald. need to send them both to a greek island somewhere and leave them there.
