Went to the Korumbrra Swap meet today and just as we arrived 3 Mini's in convoy were on the other side of road looking for somewhere to park, Later saw them in the display area but they were gone by the time I got down there to have a look :( .
After swap meet I was filling up at the local servo when 2 blue (indigo ?) round nose minis (cooper s's?) arrived . one was in full rally uniform and the other one had a few sponser stickers and a white patch for race number, they seemed to be travelling with a
Peug 504 and another rally car. Not sure what they were upto maybe checking out some rally roads :D

I think you may have spotted Pottsy and a few others from down Phillip Island way.

I think the 3 at the swap meet were white, one may of had a blue and or red stripe and the other on was a red colour, I should of taken more notice (and some memory pills or a photo) but I was busy trying to snaffle a bargin and not crashing into the hot rod in front of me.
Sorry will do better next time.

Hehe, I'm guessing the other rally car was a Datsun 1600 in blue and made up as a replica of the car that jointly won the 1970 Ampol Trial.
Yeah that would of been Pottsy, McFarkle, Crawf and others. From what I hear they had a lovely time at the swap meet. I even got some trinkets bought back for me.
And yes they were checking out some interesting roads!

Trying to find a road so they can take on the idiots in the Datsun club and see if they can beat 175 K's on the open road....

Only joking, being mini drivers and more responsible than the average motorist, they would have been lookingh for roads with the normal challenge of bends and curves and enjoyable scenery.

May try and do the same thing out this side, seeing as how its really mini weather at the moment. 8) 8) 8)

Yep the Pottsy is most definitely the Pottsy of TME fame, Author of such articles as 'The Greasy Experience' and 'Inside the Greasy Bits'.
There would have been at least a Blue Deluxe, a blue Cooper S rally car, a white Cooper S and I think at least one other mini

Yes, it was me and a few mates. We had a red Cooper S, a white Cooper S (Runt, has an Aussie flag on the roof and is well used.) and a blue Cooper S (Dave McAdam's). Tagging along was my Deluxe.

We had a couple of other cars in the group, a 504, a Datsun 1600 and a Torana XU1. Just a bunch of mates having a fun weekend. We started out at Cowes for the swapmeet, then it was on to the race track for a dose of Hotrod and Kustom madness. The afternoon was finished in a shed session with a few beers and a barbie.

Sunday saw us leaving the Island at 6am and heading to Korumburra via 70 odd km of the best Mini roads in VIc. Naturally the Minis were in a close red/white/blue/blue formation at all times. A few trinkets from the swapmeet then it was home via the Korumburra to Warragul road before the boring old highway.

Just the average Bloke's Weekend!

Cheers, Pottsy.

Ah the good old 'Boys Weekend' and no women invovled to spoil things
Did you try the Great Ocean Road- Eastern Version form Cape Patterson to Inverloch, its a great road except for the tourists and not quite as long as that other GOR.
