Guys
I've been trying to get a Mini going for group Nb. Unfortunately I need some help/motivation. Is anyone willing to come over for a few free beers and a free BBQ and help me out for a half or full day or even an hour or two? Stay the night.
It's a project of more than five years and I'm almost there. I need to get it going for the 27th.
I'm really a big fat bastard who loves Minis. Anyone up for it?
Thanks
Ty
PS. I am a guy with beer money and champagne dreams just like lots of us did/have.
I live in the Ghetto of Carole Park.

I'll need to check with her in doors - (she's out while I'm stuck home on-call) If we're looking at next Sunday arvo I think I can make it. What you got in mind - Mini wise?

Thanks Dave. Any help is really appreciated.

Engine box is sitting there. We need to put in the weber/exhaust. Maybe the 'new' wiring harness wack in the new fuel line, bascially a load of simple easy stuff.
hey anyone now how to put upholstrey on the sliding window doors. Bleed brakes( if there still any good, been waiting for a while for my engine)
What ever you reckon.

Hey if you guys need I've got heaps of parts too at the right price. You scratch my back I'll scratch yours.

Steve, Thanks too. I dunno what to say but thanks for the support. I've spent a shite load on experts 'advice' wish you were here. Love your airbox.

Anyone want to have a beer and pass me a spanner?

We could make it for the Sunday 20th, a week later if better.

if i'm free (and i think i am at this stage), i wouldn't mind trying to get along. i'm probably not good for too much though - i'm quite the n00b when it comes to mechanicals.

Thanks lads.
Due to the generousity of someone who visits here it may not be necessary. He is coming over to fix her up this week while I'm at work.
I'll let you know right here if it's needed by Tueday.

Progress report.
After receiving a quote from my engine builder for $3000 to whack it all together, (I had supplied all of the parts) I said yep go ahead. I gave him $2000 during the process, which may I add took 10 months to do!, he came back with oh you owe me another $2000. I said but hang on you quoted me $3000 so I only have to pay another $1000. Same old story I get screwed.
After having nearly lost all of my motavation to get it on the track I now have to come up with an extra $1000 which I didn't budget on. Some say $1000? that's nothin' that's the price for a set of tyres, true but when I buy the tyres the bloke isn't going to come back and say now that's $1500.
I can budget and plan my years racing but when things like this happen it just sets me back. I don't get paid alot and I'm raising a 'slow' teenage boy by myself. It damn hard.
By the time that it's ready to go I think that the brakes will need replacing and my Hoosiers will be rock hard.
Steve whats your email address? I'll send you a couple of pictures of it.
