Starting from Midnight tonight you have till Midnight on Saturday the 31st of January to make a sand castle in the shape of your choice of mini or mini derivative and take a photo .

Photo's MUST include the ausmini logo (as shown below ) either printed onto paper and put on or beside the sand sculpture/castle , or engraved/modelled into the sand sculpture/castle . This is so we know it is your own work for this competition and not something you've trolled off the web . Photoshopping the logo onto your photo is not allowed and any entries with photoshopped logo's will be disqualified .

Photo's MUST be put in this thread before midnight Saturday the 31st of January and they will be judged by ausmini members by way of a poll in seperate threads once the competition has closed .

There are 5 classes which are as follows - Clubbie , Roundie , Van (clubbie or roundie allowed but only one class for vans) , Moke , Variant (mini based kit cars , morris 1100's , whatever doesn't fit in the rest of them but is mini oriented) .

Photo's of sand sculptures/castles on a beach and surrounded by girls in bikini's will impress your fellow judges so keep that in mind :P

There will be one prize only for each category and it will be one A3 sized print of the front page of any one of the brochures I have .The choice is to be made from brochures shown in this thread , http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... c&start=90 , there's over 100 to choose from and surely the winners can find one to suit their own mini . I cannot get the posters reproduced but any of the sales brochures can be done to A3 size and as people who've won previous comps can say they look great . The A3 prints will be posted to the winners in Australia only free of charge , anywhere else (yes , if the pom's can find a beach that isn't frozen they can enter) you'll have to help with postage .

Only one entry per class per person but you can enter all five classes if you love playing in sand .

In a nutshell then , make a sandcastle in the shape of a mini with the ausmini logo on it , take a photo , post it here , if it's voted to be the winner of one of five classes you get to choose an A3 print of the front page of an original sales brochure .

Ha ha, all you people without kids and therefore sandpits are all at a distinct disadvantage!

I've got 2 meters by 2 meters of sand pit to play in! Just have to keep the boy out of it is all....

I can just picture you turning up to work with your lunch box under one arm and all you're sandcastle building gear under the other.

ive seen some crazy sand castles there was a tv show on cablewith like 10 teams and all of the castle areas had a compressed air bomb kinda thing built under it.
I like the idea of using a watered down pva glue to help stop wind errosion and Helps the designer become more adventurous.

Yes , post the pics here and the majority must be sand , you can use some shells or small sticks if you like but not too much as it is a sand modelling comp , not a stick/shell sculpture .
