should we be scared about Fitting a remote change gearbox or should we look at fitting another and easyer gear changer?

My Mini was a Matic, fitting a motor with remote box is easy.
Cover the original shift cable hole, cut a new hole for the shifter, get the tunnel mounting bracket for the remote and drill 3 holes in the tunnel for it. Oh, and better fit a clutch pedal and master cylinder.
Note you cannot fit a manual box to an automatic block without modifying oilways in the block. Unless it's a 1275 it's not worth the trouble.

yeah its not a 1275 but we will be looking for a 1100 with every thing attached further down the track.
