Folks,

I just had a visit from the engineer who is going to certify my car for roadworthiness, and he has raised an issue with the track. It's wider than standard, and exceeds the limitation that exists (allowing only std. + 25mm max). I had found a reference in "Essential Mini Cooper" which detailed the track for the UK Sportspack minis, but alas this car's track is wider than mine - which makes this is an invalid reference for the engineer. Do any of you know where I might find a track spec for an Aussie or UK mini which will suit this purpose?
As my car sits now, the front spec needs to be between 1278mm and 1303mm, and the rear spec needs to be between 1220mm and 1245mm.
As background info, the car has Cooper S drums, Metro Turbo hubs and discs and Superlite 12 x 5 wheels. Otherwise standard.

I can't help but wonder if the LS1275 fits the bill, but I've no idea where to find the literature!

Thanks a lot.
Matt

Cooper S track is often used as a yardstick.
Front- 1.233M (with 4.5" wheels)
rear 1.202M (with 4.5" wheels)

Data from red BMC 56393 factory manual.
