It is far worse when your mini makes no noise at all. What so ever. :D

The worst noise mine made was either

1 the squeeky grindy noise where the front left knuckle joint had failed and was grinding into the upper suspension arm

or

2 the shuddering groan from when I put discs on and didn't bed them in properly....

3 the noise the new duplex timing chain made as the chain ground slowly but surely into the timing cover :( (the old duplex setup had fit, didn't think the replacement was much different, I was wrong...

Oh, and all of the clunking noises due to destroyed engine mounts....

But she's all quiet now!

Matt

The crunch as my sump guard collects the bumps in the crappy roads we had around Armidale.
That's why it has the sump guard  and I guess it is not doing any real damage but it still sounds awful and the though of any part of the mini coping a belting is not nice

I have a rattle at idle caused by the vibration of the fire extinguisher mounting bracket. I either just put my foot against it or rev the car!!

My grunter has the heaven & hell syndrome, the whine from the straight cut gearbox, its annoying, but fantastic at the same time.
