With some of the stuff I've seen posted on other forums, I doubt it will be the last time this crap happens......unless SANITY prevails.

THere is another forum I vidit and the moderators have a HUGE list of compnay names and products and associated bits on their data base and when you type in one of the names in the corse of posting a thread it automiatcally changes it to a diffirent work (e.g Caterham is changed to Badgrum - why I dont know some in joke) this is supposed to stop litigation. Problem is that the users are starting to get used to teh cahnged names and using them straight out knowing everyne will associate that word woth the corrrect product.

Yer... easy to get around it. Like stopping emails, people just put admin_at_ausmini_com for eg. Same with blocking words, just change the i to a ! and you have sh!t

Unfortunatly it can't be stopped that way, so the forum has gotta be moderated to the best of my ability. Unfortunatly, I can't be on 24/7, nor can I read every single post.

Also, putting a disclaimer on the site doesn't change anything.

This is pretty much similar to a point I made in another thread agggeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssss ago. It's kinda lame but the forum operators are liable so you've gotta be careful. I think a decent policy is that if you want advice about a company, ask for people who know to PM/email you... and if you wanna bag out on a company, don't do it here in public where its in writing.

That said... I'm not a company so you can bitch and moan about me all you want

We have moderators, but then people arc up when they get moderated (i've barely touched it, im noob )
We already have a number of people who say some pretty crazy stuff, and as soon as the wrong thing is said and it gets taken out of proportion, then scott's gonna get kicked in the head.

So maybe our community clowns can calm it down a little so we can all get back to being nice to each other and talking about mini's.
